Just a slim chance that someone may be able to help me find a baptism.
I have Lucy Tanner born Jersey around 1806.  By 1841 she had moved to Bristol.  Help would be appreciated.

Hi

I've gone through all the Parish Registers and I'm afraid that I cannot see a baptism for a Lucy Tanner.

You may already have this (and please excuse me for butting in if you have) but it looks to me like Lucy was James Abbots second Wife.
1841 census there was a William Abbott, 15, born 1826, and the next Child is Henry Abbott born c 1833.
HO107/371/5/St Augustine The Less

Marriage;
James ABBOTT
Lucy TANNER, 15 January 1832, Bedminster, Somerset

Unless William is a younger Brother of James?

Also they have Webbs living with them, not born in County;
Possible Marriage;
Thomas WEBB, Father George Webb
Sarah ORCHARD, father Joseph Orchard
21 February 1838, Bedminster, Somerset

Both Marriages on Familysearch Pilot.

1851 Census has Lucy born France, British Subject!

Thank you for looking.  Lucy lived a  long time in an almshouse and on 1881 it says born Jersey and also on 1891.  I found the marriage in Bristol.  If it had been somewhere else it may have given a clue.  Her granddaughter married into my family and I thought it would be interesting to find out more, but stuck again.
I'll have a look into the other Abbots.
Thanks again.

Hi nameless,
May I ask when/where the Marriage took place in Bristol and the source of the info?

It was Bedminster St John and is on the Bristol & Avon FHS marriage CD.  It says he was a batchelor but may not be correct.
Cheers

Just thought, so far I only have the details from the cd.  Eventually I'll get a copy at Bristol Record Office.   I bought a copy of their daughter's birth certificate from Bristol Register Office.
