*** COMPLETED *** 1895 Kirkcaldy Marriage
« on: Saturday 09 October 10 15:36 BST (UK) »
Hi fellow Fifers

Can someone with local Kirkcaldy knowledge tell me which manse this marriage took place in please?

I've posted it here rather than as a 'Deciphering' thread - as there will be regular Fife 'visitors' looking at it!

Regards

Looked up all the manses of Kirkcaldy and the closest one I could come up with is "Pathhead Manse", but when I look at the copy again I don't think so.  I thought at first that the first letter was a "B" but perhaps it is a "P", and then the last few letters looks like "field". There are no manses listed in the Gazateer with a "B" or has "field" in the name.

I'm not local just trying to help.

'torrygirl', 'nort' and 'jac2'

A closer look at it and comparing other letters 'e' on the page (which look like 'r'  :-\ ) Bethelfield it is  :)

Thanks very much for the assistance.  That's another one 'put to bed'  :)
