I see that the name has now become hyphenated with the birth of a young lady in 2004. I had looked under that as well.

Yes - Exeter 2004; no relation as far as I know. The 'Crowhurst' used as a middle name in conjuction with the 'Jones' surname dates back in my family to 1814, when it was first used for my gt. x 3 grandfather, James Crowhurst Jones. He was the son of William Bentinck Jones and Judith Crowhurst.

This use of the 'Crowhurst' as a middle name has appeared throughout the generations of my Joneses, and is still used to this day.

As far as I know, it has never been used as a hyphenated surname in my particular branch.
