5 Barn Houses, Fforchamman, Aberdare RG10/5410 folio 144 pg 27
Chas Perry head mar 31 coal miner b. Cheltenham
Ann wife 32 b. Glam, Aberdare
John son 4 b. Aberdare
Jane dau 3 b. Aberdare

not that I can see the couple on another census or find their marriage.

No official adoption until 1927. Edward was part of the family so possibly used the name. There's no problem with this unless it was meant to defraud which doesn't seem to be the case.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by the groom cert. The witnesses don't need to be one for each side. One of my great aunts had more than 2 witnesses to her marriage and they were all from her side.
Have you tried to trace Edward Hailstone?

Thankyou so much Osprey for your help.
I am sorry I thought there would a witness for each person, bride andgroom as in my wedding certificate, you learn something every day.

Regarding Ernest Hailstone.
He was born in 1885 there is an Ernest |Henry on FREEBMD registerd in Bedminster
He was the son of
Charles Hailstone born 1848 Nailsea, Somerset and Elizabeth Perry  married in Bristol 1880.

Charles father was
Thomas Hurlestone? and Charlotte Chad

There is an entry on the 1901 census for an Ernest Hailstone born Long Aston, Somersert
living in 1901 in Bristol occ general labourer

The above infor is from familysearch online I have no certificates to prove this.

Ps the submitter was someone from Australia

the family you found in 1881 (info by pm) looks interesting. John's surname has been mistranscribed in 1871, so he didn't have show up when searching for John Perry.

1871 Pentre, Middle, Ystradyfodwg RG10/5384 folio 95 pg 10
Charles Perry head mar 36 mason b. ?
Louisa wife 37 b. Pembs, Narberth
William son 16 collier b. Aberdare
Mary Ann dau 12 female servant b. Llanwonno
Henry son 8 b. Aberdare
Charles son 6 b. Aberdare
John son 4 b. Ystrad
Esther dau 2 b. Ystrad

1861 Oxford St, Mountain Ash, Llanwonno RG9/4048 folio 11 pg 16
Charles Perry head mar 25 b. Wiltshire
Louisa wife 25 b. Pembs
William son 6 b. Aberdare
Emily dau 4 b. Aberdare
Mary A dau 2 b. Aberdare
William Bresswell lodger unm 27 labourer b. Yorkshire
Owen Jones lodger unm 27 labourer b. North Wales, Conway

Slight problem being that the couple have a son called Henry, so why would John be John Henry?

Wow thank you so much.
Please see message one on this subject.
Perhaps Henry JOhn was JOhn brother but on Moreland marriage certificate it did state his fathers name Henry John.  Perry.
There is also a Henry John on the census I found ( as message one)
The death cert is JOhn Perry and on the 1911 census thats why this tree has been so confusing.
Thank you yet again.

HI there,
I think this is the wrong family.
The   parents  Louisa and Charles Perry are on familysearch.org and a list of their children.
The John Perry in this family is
John Phillip Griffin Perry born 2nd feb 1868 Pentwyn Farm Pentre.

This John Phillip Griffin Perry didnt marry .Eliza J. Rawlings/Rowlings, he married someone else. I have been in touch with some one whose tree this is and its not the John Perry I am searching for.

Back to the drawing board.

To Heddwch - John Perry & Eliza Jane Stephens (nee Rawling) were my great grandparents.  They had 4 children: Edward (Ted), Rose Alma (my grandmother), Frederick, + 1 other male.
My grandmother was born in Concrete, Dinas.
If I can be of any help please let me know.
