Is it the Gibby line you need help with ?

My line starts in Wiston, then on to New Moat & Llangolman, all proved with PRs & Wills etc

After you have posted 3 times,we will be able to PM each other.

Give me a Welsh surname & i`ve got it ;D ;D ;D but not all on my list

Look forward to knowing if we are connected somehow.

Kind Regards

Omega :)

Hi Omega,

My g.g.g. grandmother was Martha Gibby  who was the second wife of John Evans
(born approx 1785 in Llandysilio Pembs)  They married at Maenclochog Church in 1836 and had 2 children I believe - Caleb Evans and Eunice Evans. John's first wife was Elizabeth Gibby who married John in 1812 Henry's Moat Church.   I think they were 2 sisters. Found grave of John Evans and 2 Gibby women at Henry's Moat. The womens' parents were John Gibby born mid 1700's died 1805. and Martha Gibby who survived her husband by some years.  This lady before marriage was Martha Harry. of Henry's Moat. .  There are many   Harry/Harries buried at Henry's Moat.

Hi Flowerpot

I dont know of a connection right now.

What we need to know is who was Martha`s 1st Husband & who was Elizabeth`s Mum & Dad.

I have some marriages on Micro Fiche but the sun is shining on the Reader so will look later.

Hi Omega,
I'm "flowerjug"!   and Gibby!    Martha Gibby  was single I believe when married John Evans when she was middle-aged. Very probably daughter of John and Martha Gibby, and her sister was Elizabeth Gibby who became Mrs John Evans - well of course they both did. I believe the ancestors of John Gibby wo died 1805 were from Wiston originally.   Now I'll give you some more Pembrokeshire names in my tree:-  Llewellyn: James: Davies/David: Morris:George:Oliver:Owen/Owens :Evans

Hi Flowerjug

I dont know any member called Flowerpot, just had One of my many Senior Momemts ;D

My David/Davies line came from Maenclochog ddu.

I have 2 line`s of James`s.

One line from Bletherston,then Llangolman.

The 2 James line`s did`nt connect until my Grandparents married in 1917.

The other line from Henllan Amgoed, then Llandissilio & Llangolman.

My Greatgramdmother`s second Husband was a Thomas Llewellyn  from Bletherston.

Do these places ring any bells ?

Omega.

PS,We were in Pembrokeshire on Holiday the last week in September.Love it there :)

Hi Omega 1

You sent me a reply   on 12th Oct to my query about Davies/David Mynachlogddu However I was unable to receive it. Would you now like my home e-mail?
