I can find no reference to a John Gibby mrge to a Martha Harry, however for your future reference I note the mrge of John Gibbin who mrd Martha Harry at New Moat in 1778.

There is a wealth of information contained in the wills of the Gibby/Gibbin/Gibbon family around the time and area of your interest on the NLoW website.

I note just one mrge of a Richard Gibby to Elizabeth Morris at Maenclochog  in 1784.

Hi Omega,
Re David  surnameof Mynachlogddu can you go back one generation further as this man's parents could be my direct ancestors They were:   David David born Penrith Pembs and Rachel born Mynachlogddu Pembs. Both born approx 1795. ALSO I don't think the John Gibbin Martha Harry is mine.   There were also Gibbins in the area apart from Gibbys which makes things very confusing!  The children of John Gibby and Martha Harry were as follows:-
William Gibby born 1787 Twmposcwn Henry's Moat
John Gibby  born 1790 Twmpath y Cwm
Elizabeth Gibby born app 1791  place  not known
Martha Gibby born approx 1793   place not known
It would be wonderful if  there was a will containing them
Best wishes
Flower Jug

Hi Flowerjug

My William David according to 1841 census was born C1781
On the 1851 he says born 1771 at Penrydd..

Danial was born C1801 at Mynachlog ddu.

I have a thread on the main Pembrokeshire board  regarding the spelling of Penrydd

Kind Regards

Hi Omega,

There must be some kind of relationship here. My Daniel could have been born 1800 but on censuses it says born Penrith Pembrokeshire.  In 1841 census he was living at Capel Farm Mynachlogddu with wife Rachel and twin daughters Rachel and ? I am certain he also had a son who could be William On 1851 census they were still at Capel and Dan was born Penrith and Rachel Mynachlogddu. The children were born Mynachlogddu.

Hi

I have found on the 1851 a Daniel David & Rachel living a Capel,Monachlog ddu.Danial states he was born Penrydd 1780 & Rachel born Llanfynach.
Living with them is daughterMary aged 27 & Granddaughter Sophia Owen aged 11.

There is a strong possibility your Danial & my William (living at Llain 1851) were brothers but proving it could be hard

David Family Tree Mynachlogddu

Hi Omega,

There must be a relationship. They must have come down to Mynachlogddu with their parents before their marriage.i.e. before Daniel and William's marriage. I may have found their father namely Evan David and also their mother Gwenllian David but I am unsure, both from Penrith parish.   Daniel and Rachel were not at Capel Farm in 1790, but of course this was before their marriage which I cannot find anywhere, but probably Mynachlogddu Church which has scant records.

William David is too old to be Daniel David's brother i.e. my Daniel David, as I do not think my Daniel was  born before around 1795. William could be Dan's uncle or father.
