Mystery of JOAN HEISE

Help please to solve this.
Joan Ethel Heise was born Kensington 26 July 1921. Father Ernest Rudolph Heise. Mother Ella Frances nee Henbrey. I have certificate.

I find a marriage for J E Heise in 1941. Assuming it is Joan I send for the cert. when it comes it is not her but Joan Ellis Heise with different parents Father William Foster Heise deceased.
Is this odd for such an unusual name?

Your Joan Ellis Heise who married in 1941 looks to have died in Dorset in 2005.  Her date of birth was 28 April 1920 - so probably not your Joan. 

Ella Frances Henbrey looks to have married Karl Willy E Heise in qtr 4 1900.  I can't see a marriage to Ernest Rudolph Heise.

Free BMD has an alternative name for Karl Willi E........he is down as Ernst 

Marriages Dec 1900 in Kensington.

What a long time before Joan was born though(21 years after marriage) 

It sounds as if this family tried to Anglicise their names.

I've searched deaths for a Joan Ethel born 26 July 1921 but couldn't find one!

Thanks for your interest and replies.
I would seem that Ernest and Karl Willie are the same person. When I first found them I got quite excited thinking it was a double wedding of two brothers so I sent for the certificates but the GRO rang me to say he was the same person. (Good service I thought).
You have obviously got the picture from my old post.
Ernest and  Ella had their first child Max in 1903. Then disappeared. His brother Gustave was interned
in WW1 but I can't find out if he was.
I thought it might be a good time to revive this as new members will have joined.
