I found several useful references to my family via the Boston Guardian and the Rutland & Stamford Mercury. If you have access to either of these local newspapers they may well have some answers for you. If his death was an accident there may well be a coroners/inquest report somewhere, I dont know how youd find that out tho? possibly Lincoln Archives?

Best of luck. x

I believe Coroner's Records (if they still exist) are closed for 75 years. :( - not long to wait but the chances are that they no longer exist.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Thasnks for posts, Coroners' reports are closed 75 years, and it is voluntary for the Coroner to donate them to the Archive in any case. I saw this morning on Heir Hunters they got access to an Inquest report almost immediately. It would seem the professionals have privileged access to sources we don't!
