The Squirrell Family of Greenwich, London

Hi,

I am looking for the parents of John Squirrell b 1854 Greenwich, London (my Great Great Grandad).  I have checked census information and between the time of his birth and 1871 when he is recorded as being in a military hospital there is no information. I would really like to fill in this gap, so if any one has any information regarding John Squirrell or any one else in the family I would be most grateful.

Birth Cert (can be ordered from www.gro.gov.uk with above ref) will give you names of both parents and mothers maiden name.  Or may indicate he is illegitimate if that is the case.

I wonder if this could be his parents in 1861 - they are the only ones I can seen in Greenwich. Squirrell is transcribed as Squirrill
