Thanks for all your help Pat.

Daniel disappeared too, but I do have record of him leaving Scotland so I am now trying to prove he died at sea. It is a very sad story.

Or as my husband just said she could have had a sharp tongue.

It appears 3 men deserted her, and she lost 4 of her children young.

Oh well I have typed out what I know for Amy, she'll have lots of things to tell her grandma.

Thank you for all your help, cheers Ted

How sad Ted.... Anne may not have had a sharp tongue..maybe she could have just been a "sucker"for punishment..we will never know.
Maybe interesting to know what happened to her siblings left in Scotland..or indeed if any others came to Australia. There does seem to be a number of Moule's in the Alva region, which is, of course, in Clackmannanshire.  There are a few marriages in this region for Alexander, and possibly John, but of course the only way to substantiate this is through SP which is a pay to view site..some info may be available through IGI but it would mean some sifting..depends how far the lassie wishes to go  ;D

All the best Pat
