Hope this does not confuse the issue - 1841 census for Clackmannan.

Alexander Maule dob 1805 Clackmannan.
Margaret Maule dob 1806 Clacks.
Margaret dob 1831 Clacks.
Francis 1834 Clacks
John 1836 Clacks.

Best of luck with your search  ;D

Whoops making mistakes here.

Alexander Maule and Margaret Hall married 09 Dec 1825 Alloa, but like you cannot find an Ann, they did have a Janet in 1828 at Clackmannan, will have another look.

Alex Maul and Margaret Hall married 09 Dec 1825 Alloa.

They had a total of 9 children all born Clackmannan, maybe you have this information ?? Ann was born 19 Nov 1826 Clackmannan, this is from SP records, if you need names of the other children please get in touch.

I now have Annies death cert thanks to Debra finding her death under another surname.

Annies parents are listed as Alexander Moule and Margaret unknown.

She had 3 husbands so it took a while to find.

Thanks everyone for your help, cheers Ted

Annie Maule’s death certificate states:

When and where: 27 Jan 1908, Wattle Street, City of Bendigo, County of Bendigo.

Name and Profession: Annie Goudeur, widow of butcher

Cause of death: Gastro Enteritis and exhaustion 26 hours

Name of Father and mother: Alexander Maule, Farmer, Margaret Maule formally unknown

Informant: cant read name but it is stated as Authorised Agent and the same signature is Authorised Agent for the death above so I don’t think this was a family member.

Burial registered: looks like she was buried on the same day at White Hills Cemetery.

Where, born etc: Unknown Scotland, 50 years Victoria

Now the interesting bit

If deceased was married: Typing this as exactly as written

1 marriage     Robert died
Unknown      Margaret died
Scotland        Daniel died
Unknown      Marjory 52 years
Edward          Annie 50 years
Brown           Daniel died
-------------     John 46 years
2 marriage     Isabell 45 years
Talbot            Alexander 40 years
Unknown       --------------------
Unknown          None

Hi Ted - following children of Alexander and Margaret Hall as follows, sorry not in chronological order.
All born Clrackmannan.
Alexander 24/12/1837.
Alexander 31/5/1840
Anne 19/11/1826
Francis 18/5/1834
Janet 16/4/1828
John 01/5/1832
John 07/02/1836
Margaret 01/05/1830
Robert 20/02/1842.

There is also an 1851 census at Tullibody Clackmannanshire as follows.
John McNab dob 1825 born Doune Perthshire.
Anne McNab 1828 born Clackmannan.
Robert (son) 1847 Menstrie.
Daniel 1849 Menstrie
Margaret 1851 Tullibody.

John is a farm servant.

I know that Daniel/Duncan are interchangeable and the date would be about right...wonder if it is worth looking for a marriage in the Perthshire area ??

Hope I haven't muddied the waters.. ;D
