VM Ware Player
« on: Monday 18 October 10 19:09 BST (UK) »
I am trying to use VM Ware player. When I start the program I get the following "Host USB device connections disabled. VMWare USB arbitration service unsuccessful. Check status in Microsoft Management Console. I checked it, tried to start it, but was unable and all I get is that a device has Error 31. How can I clear this please? I have edited the registry in strict compliance to the instructions given in a VM Ware Forum with no effect.

Have you tried this - http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1016809

The cause appears to be the drivers for the USB.

Yes thanks Ken, Edited the registry manually, and the ruddy thing still doesn't work, hence this thread in desperation.
