Translation of Spanish PDF?
« on: Tuesday 19 October 10 13:07 BST (UK) »
Hi Folks,

Further to my research of the whereabouts of Leslie Charles LONGHURST elsewhere on this forum I have tried to make sense of a pdf that I downloaded http://www.bopsctfe.es/2003/06/080/Bop080-03.pdf. Because it is 88 pages long I haven't really been successful. The particular area of interest to me is on page 26 concerning this entry
Quote
LONGHURST LESLIE CHARLES 380102521601 417,99 1196 A 0599       19/05/2003
. Looking at previous pages I think it is a list of people who have debts in Tenerife ? I would like to find out what I can of this just in case it has any relevance to my search for Leslie.

So if anyone can help me that would be great, it may end up another brick wall, but perhaps it will eventually help me find out where Leslie ended up. Although he was born in 1924 and this record is for June 2003 it would be possible he eventually came back a bit closer to home when he was old.

Thanks a lot.

It is a list of people whose debts have been declared to be unrecoverable due to lack of funds to cover them.

Thanks Erato

That's what I thought it might be, and from what I know of Leslie's early life that looks familiar.
Now I just need to work out what the next move could be for me. Would it be possible to get an address from the authorities I wonder. Or anyone know of a source for Tenerife that I could search for these details?

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provincia_de_Santa_Cruz_de_Tenerife

This Wikipedia article on the “Provincia Santa Cruz de Tenerife” says that, unlike the majority of other Spanish provinces, Santa Cruz de Tenerife  does not have an administrative body that covers the entire province and that normal administrative functions are undertaken by the “Gobierno de Canarias” and the “Cabildos Insulares.”   The Boletín Oficial is put out by the Gobierno de Canarias.

The Gobierno de Canarias has a website:

http://www.gobcan.es/

You can contact them via the “Contact” button at the top right corner of the home page, then clicking on “Buzón de Consulta de la Oficina Canaria de Información,” and then on “Acceso al Buzón de Consultas.”  There is form to fill out to send them an email.

Maybe they can give you further information.

Thanks for that, I have managed to send them a message, shame about the low character count allowed though.  ;D
