More help needed!
Looking for a Samuel Bird born about 1680 in Stokenchurch, Oxon or Ibstone, Bucks.  Would have married about 1700.  Had a son, John, born about 1707 in either of these places.

The earliest Bird baptism in Ibstone is 1738.

A note at the start of the Oxfordshire FHS CD transcription of Stokenchurch parish records states that "before 1707 Stokenchurch entries are found in the parish registers of Aston Rowant."

So I checked those out (also an Oxfordshire FHS CD) but unfortunately no Bird baptisms at all.

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.

In the Ibstone PR transcript - courtesy of OFHS, the earliest baptsim for BIRD is 1738 and earliest marriage is 1765.

i have a Samuel Bird B1652 at Stokenchurch who Married Elizabeth Flint 15/10/1676 at St. Nicholas Parish Church in Newcastle and D1690 back at Stokenchurch, Elizabeth was b1656 In Northumberland - this info came from a Family researching the Bird Family of Stokenchurch and is on the Internet. Just why Samuel was md in Newcastle appears to be a bit odd so i think more research is required on this story.
