Skeats family of Trent

Can anyone please help me, I am tracing the Skeates/s family around Trent, Sandford Orcas Area. William Skeats is the start of my tree but all I can find about him is that he married Mary Ann Down in 1774 at Sandford Orcas, although I can trace the Down family to earlier dates this is all I know about William.
