Colonel William Alfred Garner Wright
« on: Sunday 24 October 10 10:37 BST (UK) »
Dear Rootchatters,

I am searching for the death/burial records of Col. W A G Wright and his wife Elizabeth Adelaide (nee Baldock).

The 1881 census shows William (retired on half pay & blind) living at 73 Rouge Bouillon, St Helier with their 3 youngest children.

In 1891 the widowed Elizabeth is living at 73 Egerton Rd, St Helier (same address ?) with daughter Ethel. I haven't found either of them on the 1901 census.

Any information of the death details of William & Elizabeth would be extremely welcome.

Regards,

John Bennett

Thank you, Cathy & Pam for your amazingly prompt response to my query.

I had assumed that the Channel Island probate records would not be available from the usual sources, but of course the wills were proved on the mainland.

Silly me! I could have saved you the bother if I had thought it through more carefully.

Kind regards,

John
