Common working woman ??
« on: Sunday 24 October 10 14:40 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
I am researching the Rowley family that were at Bradley Cottages, Alveley  in the early 1900's and came across this ' Susan Elizabeth Baynham aged 57 occupation -
' common working woman'  ;)
It made me smile....but I'm sure there is a more simplier answer !! - than the one that came to mind !
any help much appreciated

Have you found her in earlier  or later(1911 if the information given is for 1901) This may shed light on her occupation. If her occupation was the obvious then be aware there was an attempted murder in Hull a few years ago, where a working girl was attacked, beaten and thrown into a skip. Her age at the time 64!!
