I am looking for John T McKenzie

In 1901 census scotlandspeople John is  a fisherman aged 29
this comes at the bottom of the page so I cannot get any of his relatives living with him
I have contacted scotlandspeople to ask about this

I have him as informant to his Aunt Margaret McKenzie's death in 1907
as nephew .West Helmsdale Sutherland

I thought I would be able to find his birth but was unable to find it

Was he living in Sutherland or elsewhere in 1901

I can't find a John T McKenzie b 1872 who was a fisherman on the site I use

I can only view a transcript I'm afraid but this is the only John T. I could find - if this is him the full household details are:

Minnie Miller    16     servant                b. Helmsdale, Sutherland.

John married as plain John to Dorothy MacKay in 1896 Inverness

Looking back on the census in 1881 John and his brother James are shown amongst the children of John Mackenzie, Fisher curer,  and wife Margaret, living in Gairloch.

John's birth appears to have been registered as plain John on 1/3/1872 Gairloch, Ross & Cromarty, son of John Mackenzie and Margaret Taylor (viewed on familysearch).  They married in Gairloch 19/11/1869.

Hope this is the right family.

In the 1901 census he is a fisherman born Rosshire
Now having a second look at this i may have the wrong John T Mackenzie

But on Margaret's death in 1907 he is her nephew living in Helmsdale

I too have looked for his birth in Scotlandspeople

Margaret  had had four brothers all born Helmsdale
James b 1836 never married d in New Zealand
Adam b 1853 my grt grandfather he did not have a grandson John
Alexander b 1856 never married died in New Zealand
and John b abt 1850
now I cannot find this John Mackenzie ( McKenzie anywhere )either

I couldn't find him in 1901 because you said he was 29 so I was using an 1872 birthyear.  If the 1901 entry above is the one you meant - he was 28

It certainly seems to tie in with the address on the death cert

The family names are there Margaret's mother was Janet Known as Jessie Mackay Gordon her father Alexander

Margaret's sister Ann married a George Miller they had a daughter Willamina
could get Minnie

Margaret also had a sister Mina

If I could find John McKenzie born abt 1850 then I may can link this family you have found together

I have just gone into scotlandspeople and got the marriage of Margaret's brother John married to Margaret Taylor
