Looks like this must be the right family - on another census John senior was shown bc.1847 so it looks from the above that he was bc.1847 and not 1850.   All the other details fit.

1851 Census shows there were 2 older children  too - Ann bc.1835 and Jean bc.1837.

Yes I knew this Ann married a George Miller they had a daughter Grace but not the Minnie Miller living with John T

also the eldest son was James who emigrated to New Zealand with his cousin John Polson and they took Minnie with them

Through roots and the help of another Polson relative we found Minnie right through to her death and just this week My relative found the death of James so I am now trying to fit all the family together
with what I already had

I did think John must have gone off to New Zealand like his three brothers but with your help I find he didn't
