William JAMES Camborne
« on: Tuesday 26 October 10 15:24 BST (UK) »
During the 1861 census, William age 37 and Ann 34 James are living in Camborne with their children. The eldest of their children was William John  age 10 years who was an Overseas - British - America Brit Subject . William and Ann have their birthplace as Camborne.

I am unable to find marriage details or immigration details of the parents, or birth details for William John the son and William John disappears after 1861.

I have looked at Ellis Island for  the parents but can't find them.

Need help to find this and hopefully the son's birth details.

If you could get a copy of one of the other children's birth certificate at least you would know Ann's maiden name.

Thank-you both for the replies.

I am researching for a friend and I will see what she wants to do next.

Hello.  When searching my family history, I found this post.  I believe this William James Camborne may be my relative.  I live in the U.S. and have history back to Camborne.  I may have some answers to what happened to his family after moving to the US.

I have found William James and Ann Pascoes marriage certificate which had few details.
They married 1848 in Iowa county Wisconsin.
They then returned to Cornwall with their son William John James born 1852.
I believe William John James married Frances Mary Thomas in Chorlton upon Medlock Lancashire England on the 27 July 1881.
