This was from a slide taken in 1956. As you see, they turn out well. I did this on the scanner.

That's fantastic, meles! I'm really pleased to see this, because my dad has loads of slides, all family photos from my childhood, and now I'll be able to borrow my favourites and put them on my laptop. Brilliant, thank you!

Meles

I just love the way they've put that tree well out of your reach  ;D

I too have inherited hundreds of similiar slides from the same period.

Scary stuff  :D

My scanner has a slide attachment

I can even scan negs and convert to positives

Then you can print or take to local boots/jessops etc

I too love that Christmas Tree shot - poor thing looking up like that dying to see the tree haha
It has turned out really well hasn't it? can't wait to do mine.  I just had a go here at work (Yeah I know!), but it just gave me a pciture of the slide.  Someone else though mentions they have a slide/negative function on theors so will give it a go for me tonight and bring it back tomorrow.

I can't wait to hand the pics out to the family now - they have never been seen since the 1960's!  : )

thanks to all again
xx

...It is quite a time consuming task to scan all the slides, well in our case it has proved to be anyway as we have so many.  We don't do all of them on the highest setting or it would take longer... the frame does hold 4 at once though and we are certainly enjoying the results as we work through them.

Great example of yours meles ... love it!  :)

The plastic Agfa slide surrounds do/can pop apart, the kodak card frames are stuck together. We used to find the kodak slides also sometimes stuck or doubled up in the viewer or projector cassettes. We regularly use our little 1 slide at a time viewer, ours is 'Agfascop' it's a great little machine ....

For years I developed my own slides

I have an agfa projector - and put all slides into agfa mounts

Over 20 boxes of slides - just seems too many to scan!
