Woo hoo!

That all connects for me!  Last night after you and Steve were so nice to post your info, I started searching BMD info on all of the names listed.  My search showed an Amanda Hopkin marrying a John "Kraube".  I figured it was a typo and was Krause.  Since I already had an Ann Krause, I figured that I probably did have a brother sister double marriage thing going on.  Thank you so much for confirming it!

My previous research did show Ann Krause's mom to be Mary Swann, so that connects too.

Last night, I took probablye information and found William Hopkin's parents, who I think are John Hopkin and Deborah Kirk out of Strelley, Nottingham.  It ends up they had at least ELEVEN children that I now get to look for.  I'm beginning to think I'm related to every Hopkin in Nottingham!

I assume that you guys have these censuses on CD?  Are they available to the public?  Since I have so many Hopkins to research, they would be a valuable tool and I wouldn't have to bug you guys.

Thank you guys so much.  It is so wonderful that such nice people, half way across the world, are willing to share info that leads to a major breakthrough.

Hi, I'm glad we we're able to help you.
You are right we do have the census on cd or we have access to them on the net.

Here is the Nottinghamshire Family History Society (NFHS) web site were you can purchase the census ( which include an index) and you can buy Marriages, Burials and Baptisms on cd.

http://www.nottsfhs.org.uk/bookshop

And here is a company which has a lot of Nottinghamshire cd's.
They also have much better qualty census cd's.

Glad that it's all coming together for you :)

Would agree with Steve's recommendations. Except to note that the Notts 1851 from the Notts FHS is altogether a better quality than their other productions ....with the added bonus that all Notts FHS censuses come complete with an invaluable surname index. The indexes can also be bought separately as a full set.

I will have to check into the CDs.  Is the internet access to these any good?  I am unaware of where the 1841 or 1851 are available via internet.

One more question?  Heather, in the 1851 census info on Henry Krause / Mary / Clara Shepperly.

What is her age?  It states she is a nurse, but then it says 3/5.  Does it mean to say 35?   What do you think?

Sorry I should have been clearer. Clara was a nurse child i.e being cared for by Mary Krause and not necessarily a relative. The age was very difficult to read and could have been 3 or 5.

I don't think the 1841 or 1851 are on the internet yet.
If you give me the reference numbers for the 1881 i will be able to get you the image if it is from Nottinghamshire.

Steve,

Did you mean 1861 or 1881?  I do have access to the 1881, so thank you anyway if it was for 81.

1861 I would be interested in getting my hands on.

Thanks again,

Anya

I am assuming you are talking about access to the 1881 on the Mormon site which is just a transcript, I have the actual images so if you get the reference numbers from there i can send you the images.

I also have the 1861 well actually i have them all up to 1891.
