The parents of Mary Robson born Old Monkland are George Robson and Margaret Ferley

As Monica said in an earlier post Scottish births and marriages have been transcribed from the Statutory Registers between 1855 and 1875 on Familysearch IGI and the above is the only Lanakshire registration between 1855 and 1859..

It is possible that Mary was illigitimate and the birth registered in her mothers maiden name. Have you found Robert in the 1851 census.

was Robert Married before he met Elizabeth?
