Thank you for searching....it is so frustrating - they were back there in later years !!

Did you come across

James Dunning (born c. 1821)  married to Mary Ann (they married 1848) - they had a son Andrew (but not until 1852).

Andrew was born at Lawley Bank

Most of the Dunnings seem to be related...any info appreciated greatly !!

James' parents were William & Ann - there other children - all born in the 1820's - Ann, William & John.....

Thank you !

Thank you so much for those !!!

At least Prudence is there !  Not too sure about the others - but I will look through my notes.....

It is all very confusing - there were two families -  Harriet Dunning with son Abraham (my ggggrandfather b. 1852 )- ended up living (can't find a marriage) - with James Dunning (he had son Andrew with Mary Ann (Tonks) in 1852)

Later - with James & Harriet there were lots of children & I haven't yet sorted out which were his/hers or theirs....

I will post for a 1861 look-up request !

thanks again - Kathy

Hey, I've got Tonks in my tree too.

Very early though, 1746 Sarah Tonckes married Thomas Fletcher at Donnington.

Probably everyone who's researching in this area of Shropshire will be related somehow. LOL

Hi,

It might intrest you to know that there is a website for Dawley/Lawley Bank. The address is,

www.dawleybank.co.uk

It has some census, which includes a rare 1821 Census, which lists a Jacob, at the age of 12, that could be the Jacob you found in the 1841 Census.
