Winifred Brown Constable nee Sandbrook

Am looking for some info on Winifred Sandbrook who served in Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve as a staff sister until 1922. She married someone called Constable between 1922 and 1926 and her last known address was Clyde Lodge 1 De Frene Road Sydenham. I have her War Service records but would like to know who she married and if she continued her nusing career after her marriage

No I couldn't find a marriage or a death either. Her father Daniel Sandbrook was my great grandmother's brother. Her family emigrated to New Zealand in 1911. In her discharge papers she's listed as Mrs Constable so I presume the the marriage took place around the middle 1920's

Was she discharged in 1922? Did she go over seas at all as a nurse?and married somewhere else? its a possibility.

Hi Cardiff,
I had wondered that myself. She was discharged in 1922 having come back from serving abroad and she was still single. I have a letter written to a Miss P LLoyd 80-82 Upper Gloucester Place Dorset Square on 17th January 1927 from Princess Mary's RAF Nursing Corps giving a reference for Miss Winifred Sandbrook now Mrs Constable so she could possibly have married abroad. Will have to keep looking!!

 So you have no info of where she could have possibly served, have you tried asking on the armed forces board, maybe someone knows where she may have served if you have her military info. Worth a try

Winifred Neirll Brown-Constable (aged 30) married Winifred Mary Sandbrook (age 28) on 04/04/1922 in Bombay India

Parents Albert Edward Brown-Constable &  Daniel Sandbrook

Not sure about grooms name though.
