Search for Marriage
« on: Tuesday 02 November 10 07:36 GMT (UK) »
Dear All,

Advanced apologies if this query turns out to be in the wrong section, but since the couple concerned seem to have spent the majority of their married life in London, I thought this the best place to start.

I am seeking the marriage of Frederick William Beavis (Bevis) 1811-1861, and Elizabeth Morrise (Morrisey) d. 1895. To date, I have ben unable to track down a marriage record.

Frederick was the son of John and Jane, and born 1811, Tisbury, Wiltshire - Elizabeth's father is as yet unknown, though her mother was Mary (maiden name not known). Elizabeth appears to have been born Bromley, London.

The couple lived at Drivers Buildings, Mile End Old Town, and had at least eleven known children, the eldest having been born circa 1837, and the youngest born 1859.

Any assistance with this enquiry very much appreciared.

With thanks,

Peter.

Thank you Jennifer - I thought it might be a good idea just to briefly bring the thread up to the top.

Thanks for your help so far.
