Naming conventions
« on: Wednesday 03 November 10 20:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I have a query regarding naming in Wales.
Is the eldet daughter likely to be named after her paternal grandmother?
The mother's name is Sarah, born 1817 to Thomas Davies,  the eldest daughter is Martha, born 1842.
I've found 3 Thomas Davies married within 10 years prior to Sarah's birth and am trying to ascertain which would be likeliest to be the relevant one, cheers, Lance

Hi Lance,
     Have a look at this:

Keep in mind though that total adherence is an exception.
