microsoft word 2003 help please

hello, i have microsoft office word 2003, and i am trying to rotate words i`ve typed so i can put them on a folder spine, i have no idea how to do this please help

If you are wanting to produce a label for the spine with one character above another you can press <CR> after each character; or drag the end stop over to allow only one character.

If you not using a lot of text you can also use Excel. There is orientation under (right click) format cells/alignment.

I've got Word 2000, so assume you should have similar facilities.  

Open new document.  From the top toolbar select "view" and then "toolbars", and finally "Drawing".  A new toolbar appears, from this click onto the "text box" icon.   At this time a small drop-down menu also appears entitled "Text Box" with a few icons on it, eg "link", and also one which is entitled "change text direction".  Type in your text, then highlight it and click on the "change text direction" icon, to suit your needs.  Hope this helps.

It's also possible to change text direction in a table. Create the table, select a cell, click on "format" and the drop-down includes text direction. Alternatively, just right click on a cell.
