Looking for the parents of Agnes Burton.She was born about 1762 in Dent Cumbria.She married William Chapman in 1782 in Dent. Thanks

Is Dent not in Yorkshire,
Gunning County Down,Kneale Isle of Man,Riddle Tynemouth,Bibby Kendal/Bradford,Colenso Penzance/Barrow-in-Furness,Steele Corney Fell,Chapman Ely,Dawes Alfreton,Blamire Westmoreland and Ulverston

No,its in a corner of the yorkshire dales national park that is actually in Cumbria.

Well as I live in Cumbria I should have known that,but dont forget boundries change,

Right start again I looked at two baptisms one for daughter of James, Askrigg 19 th of July 1760,
and the other Agness is the daughter of George baptised  Askrigg ,March 1760, it isnt far from Dent at all,
two possible girls,

I was looking around for Agness and noticed two baptisms ,these are non conformist records,

Thomas Chapman,1st of December 1787,Dent,

George Chapman, 4Th of June 1784,Dent

Did they have others and what was their religion,
If George was her first son he may be named after his grandfather?

Hello,I know they had a son called John ,who married Eleanor Stavely. Dont know of any more children,but I should think there will have been.
