I am Rob Graeme BURFORD (known as Graeme)  and the second son of Rob and Myra BURFORD , William Guest BURFORD  was my elder brother.

Our father Rob BURFORD remarried Phyliss May VINCENT. they didnt have any children.

How can I help you in regards the Vincent family.

I have researched my family tree  and the only problem I have is  tracking /ascertaining what happened to the eldest  brother of my father ie  William Claude Hoskins BURFORD. I have him recordedoin the family bible his birth at Longford Tasmania was not registered   he attended his fathers  funeral  and then disappeared of the face of the earth

I can't help you with your research re; your uncle, as I have not researched the Burford family at length, I only have the basics which I obtained through Death Notices.

In regards to the Vincent family, firstly was Phyliss ever previously married before she met your father, and did she inherit the condition [neurofibromatosis], you would be well aware of it if she did.
Do you have any of her family details to share, as William Henry Vincent her father, and seven siblings is one of the family I have very few details of.

Hi George,

She had never previously been married  born 1903 Queenstown Tasmani  died 10/2/1993  she was the daughter of  William and Lillian  and  sister of  Myrtle,Les, Cyril, Bill, Ray  all Dec'd at her death and  Edna and Ron..

I knew most of them  and the only one that had a medical condition was a spinster sister  Myrtle  who as long as I knew  her  used two crutches to walk, however she could  get a short distance without them I  recall balance  may have been the problem which could  fit the disease. She  was well into her  late 60's  early 70's when she died.

her sister Edna's daughter  Dorothy Woodhouse nee Shaw  died  at Ulverstone  in her late 60's of a strange  disease   you  could  phone her son  Gregory A Woodhouse  of Ulverstone  and talk to him .

Edna also had twin sons  one Alwyn died early not sure what off , that was at Queenstown Tasmania.

The Vincent family  spent their life  at Queenstown before  moving to Ulverstone.

Ron owned a factory in Sydney cant recall what it was , Ray lived at Druin Victoria  and Bill died in Hobart.

in regard to neurofibromatosis
My wife is not aware that anyone from her father ( the Bill mentioned above ) down has the disease.
The only person she could recall that may have had it was Les, her father's brother, as apparently he had lots of boils etc on his neck and upper body

William Harold, the son of above, had 4 children.

Yes, William Henery ( although you seem to think it is Henry, I got my spelling from the Tasmanian Govt Colonial Archive site )   Vincent is my wife, Kerri's, Grand Father.

Just out of interest, which of H Vincent/Alison Polson's children does your direct line come from ?
 ( Afraid I have no information past H Vincent either )

Do you have any dates on the deaths of William Henery ( Henry ) Vincent's siblings ?

It would complete my tree a bit better
