There is a burial record for a Daniel McAuliff at Montreal's Basilica de Notre Dame on May 29th, 1828, him having died 2 days before at the age of 40. No wife mentioned.

Thanks, China.  I don't know if that could be him..maybe it is.  That probably means he's buried in Montreal...
