Crane Family
« on: Tuesday 16 November 10 18:45 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Trying to find some information on a Crane Family.

Frank & Maryrose Crane died 1947 in Montreal.

They were buried by their Daughter Lorraine Silina Crane.

Do any of these details mean anything to anyone?

Kind Regards Barbara

More questions than answers to begin with.

Were Mary Rose and Frank born in Canada or elsewhere? Do you have birth years for one or both of them? Were they married in England or elsewhere and then emigrated to Canada? Do you know when they married or emigrated (if the latter was the case?)?

Do you have the birth/baptism info for Lorrraine? I have found that and can transcribe it for you if you don't.

You can search for the Cranes for free in the Montreal directories at the link below. Start at Serie Principale and it is mostly English after that.

You are more than kind!! Many thanks for your very prompt reply. I never expected to hear anything.

Well to begin Maryrose Kelly (my Grandmother's sister) married Frank Crane (don't know where or when) They were both born in Ireland and emigrated to Canada.  I found out that they both died in 1947 and were buried by a daughter Lorraine.  I know where they are buried, as I had an email from the Cemetery who were very helpful.

I know when Maryrose was born but not Frank. I found Lorraine's birth record, thank you.

I am very grateful for your help and will follow your advice.  Here's hoping.

Thank you again. Kind Regards Barbara.

Dear Sandra

I have just this minute come across the above messages from you.
I cannot begin to tell you how great full I am!!!

Mary Rose Kelly/Crane was my late Grandmother's Sister and when alive she often talked about Mary Rose and wondered whatever happened to her.

Many many thanks for all your help.☘️
