Thanks

It looks like he married Margareta/Marguerita Seymour Pabst on 30 April 1894 in Victoria, Ca.

He was a traveller by profession and one son Arnold Willoughby Armstrong, born 13 June 1904 in York County, Ontario and possibly another Irving Wellington Armstrong  born 19 April 1899 in San Fransisco.  I W Armstrong's service record gives his mother as Marguerita Armstrong but that's the only connection I can find so far

Do you have him on the census in 1871 with his parents?

We can't post anything about living people on the forum though.

Thank You ruthht

Excellent

I am based in the UK and have only limited access to canadian records.

I also had a possible son Gordon Seymour Armstrong b.17 Mar 1906 Ontario.

Any sign of him?

Thank You

Yes, and he is son of Wellington W Armstrong and "Rita Pabst" according to his birth register.

Will have a look for marriages, but Irving is definitely WW's child. They are all together on the 1911 census in Toronto.

I'll go back and find the 1914-18 service record for Irving and see if there is anything else there to help

I think Arnold lived in the USA for a while as there is a border crossing reference for him into New York, aged 30, to go to Art School.  It also states that he has income from his father's Estate. Am not sure whether that means that WW was dead by October 1934.

Irving seems to have been the UK for some time as well as he travels from Liverpool to Canada in 1919 as a returned Canadian, presumably after the War ended.

Gordon seems to have gone into the USA at some point as well into Chigaco. He was a salesman and went in 1926.

I can't find any marriages yet and if they were married none of the wives are with them on these journeys
