Mike I'm searching for any christening and burial records for Abigail and John Lewin's children between 1868 and 1874. Albert Edward was born in the Mission workhouse, St Margaret's Leicester in 1871. Thomas Richard born 1870 or 1871 death 1873. Thomas Richard b. 1874 died 1874. Also Charles William born 1873 died 1873.

I am not sure if all children were christened/ buried in St Margaret. Their father was also known as John Taylor. Any help would be gratefully appreciated and reciprocated, if possible Thank you

Hello Mike
I should appreciate a check on Ethel Agnes Ball - born approximately 1878. Her parets were married at St Margaret's in 1856 so I imagine they had all they children baptised there too, as they remained in the parish all their married lives. I have her death cert (at age 18) and I already know she was buried in Welford Road.

Many thanks

Parish Records - St Margaret's, Leicester
« Reply #79 on: Thursday 14 February 13 22:57 GMT (UK) »
Forgive me. I'm a brand newbie and don't know if I'm going about this the right way. Absolute first time on a forum.

But is there anyone who could check the parish register for St. Margaret's Leicester for the baptism record for Florrie Fall born 26th November 1917? Her mother was Florence Charlotte Pickard Fall (formerly Davie) of Pasture Lane, Leicester (deceased). I don't know if the mother's name would be on the baptism record given that she was dead by that time. I don't even know if Florrie Fall was baptised. Her birth wasn't registered until 16th January 1918, by the matron of the Causeway Lane Maternity Hospital. She was brought up by her maternal aunt Polly Farrell/Brindley.

I'm particularly looking to see if a father's name is given for Florrie Fall. The mother was married to Harry Fall at the time of the birth but he is not named on the birth certificate (possibly given it was wartime, I don't know?).

Also is there any record of a burial place for the mother, Florence Charlotte Fall - died 21st December 1917 (death registered 24th December 1917)?

Any help or direction would be appreciated.
