Lanercost PRs and BTs, Ann Kileryst * COMPLETED *
« on: Wednesday 24 November 10 15:39 GMT (UK) »
I wonder whether someone would be kind enough to look up "Ann Kileryst" for me?

Actually, I suspect that the name KILERYST has been incorrectly transcribed - it appears in "The Register of the Parish of Lanercost, Cumberland, 1666-1730, ed. T. W. Willis, M. A. Brampton, Printed by Isaac B. Hodgson, 1908".

Anyway, here's the relevant detail:

William Holme married Ann Kileryst 07 Jul 1746

If anyone could please check either the original parish records or the bishop's transcripts for that wedding, I would be most grateful.

Please note, I will reimburse any photocopying charges that you may incur as I would love to see the hand written record.

Thanks in anticipation

Nic.

Hi Geoff  :)

You get about a bit!

I just spoke with Stephen White at Carlisle Library.  He can do a search for me for £7.50 and email me a copy of the original.  That sounds like a reasonable amount to pay if I can finally get to the bottom of this conundrum!

Have heard back from Carlisle Library.  Apparently the entry only appears in the Bishops Transcripts which won't be available for viewing until the new record office opens in January.  In the mean time, I'll try the LDS route.
