Castle Family History

Anybody here have any knowledge of the Castle family in Worksop and near Sheffield.  They were carriage makers.

What sort of 'knowledge' are you looking for?  Would you like census lookups, BMD's or something else?

Just seeing if anyone else is searching in this area.  Have  found out quite a bit on the Nottinghamshire board.

Have you looked at the surnames interests board -  'Surnames' at the top of this page.

When you click onto Surnames England it just goes to adverts!

Hello, I've found out that my branch of the Castle family came from Lenton, Nottingham.
My great-great grandfather Samuel Castle was born in 1829, in Nottingham. He moved at some time to Northallerton, North Yorkshire. He was a slater, so I assume he followed the work North.
I live in York, thanks to my grandfather.
