An index to over 1,600,000 obituaries, death & marriage notices & other sources from Ohio from the 1810s to the present day.

The charge is $3.00 per obituary (not per person - some people have several obits.)

This organization provides phenomenal service and the search interface is easy to use.  If the deceased was in any measure a person of some social prominence (such as member of a congregation, fraternity, or social club) in a small community, you will discover a wealth of detail from the contemporary newspaper account of that person's death.  You may, as I did, discover details of that person's parents, grandparents, and earliest American ancestor.
