Marriage ages in 18th and 19th century.
« on: Sunday 28 November 10 22:11 GMT (UK) »
Hi.
Does anyone have a rough idea the ages of  people in the 18th and 19th century when they got married?
From what researchers are coming up with would it be fair to say most young people would be
in their late teens or early twenties when they got married, or earlier?  Any guesses?
It appears that once they got married they started having children very quickly, maybe due to harder
times back then.  I'm curious what others have found out.
Thank you
John
