No problem - but the 'question' is not whether he served in WW2 - you had made it quite clear he had - it's whether his WW1 records (if they are what you are initially interested in) had been combined with his WW2 records or not -
If not you should be able to get them by download from the NA - if they have it's the more complicated/lengthy/expensive option that is required for later records - via MoD/Veterans UK
