I had , from another source, had the suggestion that the parents of Jonas Chaloner were Robert Dudleigh and Queen Elizabeth. Hello Crocus65, Are you still with us?! I was just looking at your request from 2010 re parents of Jonas Chaloner, vicar of Much Wenlock, born 1566. I have been on the same search for many years. The latest possibilities I've come up with are: 1) from Ancestry.com., 9/5/2018: "Jonas was born in 1566, the son of John Chaloner and Alice Spenn. (John died in 1599). Same info from jeffjerwin2 on Aug.21,2017.
                                                                 2) from shenor, in 2010. she said that a Joan Chaloner had info that Jonas' parents were Lord Robert Dudleigh and Queen Elizabeth 1, in other words he was an illegitimate son of royalty.
