I have heard the name Cardiff many times and do believe they were friends / cousins of my father from The Faythe.

I have asked my mother about Cardiff and she thinks it might be Clifford who may have been cousins to the Murphys'

Hi

Looking for information on Ryan and Cardiff families of Kisha Mill, Ballyhitt, Ladies Island.

Regards

Mogue.

Sir,
It may interest you to know that your ancestors are actually from Ballyshite.  That is the original and correct spelling of the townland name. For some unknown reason HM's Ordnance Survey changed the  spelling to Balyhitt in the 1840s.
  Yours etc.
