Hi LenHill and TedEd,
I am thrilled with the information you have both included and to finally have solved the mystery of Lily - I was convinced she was another child apart from Agnes Maud. I was given a photo of Martha and Lily in younger days, as well as some other photos of the family, if you would like me to send it on just PM me with your email.
It appears to have been a family who was heavily involved with the Salvation Army - could there have been a possibility that Daniel McBride Scott and Alice also went overseas on pastoral pursuits? This could be a reason for not being able to find their deaths and burial sites.
LenHill - I would love to hear more of the Scott family history if that is possible.

Thank you so much to all those fabulous RootsChatters who contributed to this thread and have helped to track the identity of "Lily".
Hopefully the whereabouts of her parents will also be found one day.

I'll try and post a photo of my gramdmother -Martha Margaret (nee) Scott as I remember her. This was taken at my grandparents home at Belmore in Sydney NSW where she lived from around 1920 until she died in Jan. 1962.  TEDED

On the copy of the handwitten marriage certificate for my grandparents, Martha Margaret (nee Scott) and Joseph Morris, the word "deceased" appears in very small writing under where Martha's father's name is entered. Thus, it appears that Daniel McBride Scott died in the 30 months period of July 1907 and 31-12 -1909, most probably overseas. Alice Eleanor Scott(nee Upton) may have remarried and have a daughter by that marriage. So now we've got to find where Alice died and is buried with as yet unknown new surname. TEDED

Has anyone got a copy of Alice Eleanor Upton's mother's (Margaret Upton nee Connelly, who died in Albury NSW on 24th. Feb. 1922, aged 90 years) death certificate or death register? It would be interesting to see if Alice is listed on either of those certificates.  TEDED

I've attached a photo that includes both Martha and Agnes (Lily), the 2 surviving children of Daniel McBride SCOTT  and  Alice Eleanor SCOTT (nee UPTON). Still trying to figure out where Beryl fits into the picture. TEDED

All you people who are following this site might also be interested in another chat group I started on "rootschat.com' . It's called 'Christian names only". As Alice Eleanor Scott may have remarried and without a new surname to work on, I requested some help. There has been some interesting developments. Could her new surname be "Bassett". All the info is on that Chat Group site.  TEDED
