Hello Sylvia,
Can you give me the info you have from the 1881 Census on George Chester. The only one I can find, born in Whitchurch is living in Llangollen with his Wife Ellen and Grandson George, born Hawarden.

Paul.

Hi Paul ,

That is the same George Chesters , I have them in 1871 as well , and Samuel ( born Hawarden 1857 ), Janet and Eliza are with them , We think George married Ellen around 1870 , and is not Samuel and Eliza's mother , that is how we are trying to find a 1861 census return with George and Samuel etc , we think his first wife was called Mary Ellson as that is Samuel's mother name on his death certificate . if you can find them them it would be most appreciated as we are in Scotland , If you need any info from up here , let me know .
                                                  Thanks Again  Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,

Paul mentioned you to me as we may be looking for the same family. I'm trying to track down Frances Chesters, daughter of George and Mary Chesters, who was born in Bistre in 1845 (1846?). She married Richard Rowney in Birkenhead, Cheshire, in 1865 and had a son, Thomas. She was subsequently widowed and married Edward Lewis in Wrexham in 1868.

Does any of this help?
