Izzard family in Hastings area - please help
« on: Thursday 02 December 10 19:17 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me with a problem I've experienced when starting to look at my wife's family tree. Her grandmother was Ellen Lydia Peacham, b.1912 in Battle. Her mother was Frances Lillian Izzard, b.1893 in Hastings. My problem is that aside from finding her birth i've not been able to locate her in the censuses of 1901 or 1911.

If possible I'd very much appreciate some help on finding Frances and therefore her parents in order to be able to track back further.

Many thanks in advance for any help or tips.

Jon.

Also the marriage in December 1911, Battle, Volume 2b, Page 103 shows:

Peacham, Louis G
Izzard, Florence L
Izzard, Frances L

This is the same on the GRO Index - which is typewritten!

Fantastic - thank you so much, I will investigate on this basis, I'll remember to think about removing the first name in searches given the propensity for not using it. I should now that as plenty in my tree have done the same!

Thanks.
Jon.
