I missed that, thanks Jan!  :) That would explain him having children after Edward and Robert and I think he has a daughter Olive - Edward has a sister Olive. But is this enough evidence to claim the Botley link as definately part of my tree?  ???

I think it is all adding extra weight. If you haven't already done so you need to check that there are no later Hampshire mentions for the children of John and Elizabeth. Also looking  also for more wills could throw light on the matter.

I couldn't see any more Pearmine wills in London (either on the LMA database or the National Archives) but I need to check Hampshire to see if John left a will. I looked for marriages for the children in Hampshire I only turned up a marriage for the daughter called Nanny. I need to see if I can find any burials in Hampshire though. The problem is there are a few entries for Pearmines in the Rotherhithe/Bermondsey area about a 100 years before but I guess you are going to get some of every surname in London.

I guess the earlier Pearmines may have been connected, perhaps a branch moved to Botley to work as sawyers for boatmaking? It would certainly be worth following the earlier ones to see if there is a gap.

Found this

they are also making a Rotherhithe/Botley link. Always nice when someone else is independently having same idea :)

Fantastic finds Jan!!!  ;D  ;D

I was thinking I'd need to put a request on the Hampshire board for the burials but...  :) I see none of John's children there so I can tentatively rule out infant deaths for the brothers. I couldn't see a will for John in Hampshire either.

Its nice to see that somebody else has connected Botley and Hamshire. I couldn't see the marriage they suggest in 1795 for Edward's son John even looking at the actual pages of the register. ???

James marries in 1790 and has children 1791 - 1805 so he is definately too old to be Robert's son. Can't see his or Robert's burials though.
