Hello,
According to family tradition our Kelley ancestors may have emigrated from Scotland to Philadelphia PA USA. Edward Kelley was born between 1735-1750 possibly in Scotland or PA. His father may have been Thomas or William Kelley. During the 1790 US Census these three (3) Kelleys were living near each other in Franklin County PA. Edward Kelley married Elizabeth Lauthers about 1767. They had seven (7) children. The youngest of whom was Azariah Kelley, who is my direct line. Elizabeth's father may have been Thomas Lauthers. The Edward and Elizabeth Kelley family was living in Mifflin Co PA during the 1800 census. They were residing in Armstrong Co PA in the 1810 census. Edward Kelley died there in 1814. Does anyone have this lineage figured out and tied into Scotland? Thank you very much for any assistance that anyone might be able to provide.
Kind regards,
Ken Kelly (*)
