Does anyone have any information about Charles Foster drowning in the Beeston canal, possible suicide, date not known, but certainly after 1911 census.I found a death on the g.r.o. for a Charles Foster reg.at Nottingham in 1941,his age matches with year of birth, but cannot be certain its the right man

Hi Tricky Tree,

All I can suggest is trolling through the Newspaper archive at
the  Local History dept at Angle Row,Nottingham Library.  If you could be more specific, then the team are very good there and might well look for an article for you, but as it's a bit of a vague  time  span, I guess you will have to do the digging yourself.

Hi

As Copperbeach5 has said your only real option is to trawl through the newspapers that they have on film.  They have plenty of film readers at the library and are very helpful staff, I would suggest you look at the Nottingham Post as thats the main paper and if its in any it will be in that one.

Good luck with your search.
