Can anyone locate the 1891 census household details for Isabella JOHNSTON b bet 1878 and 1881 Whitehaven?

There is a Wigton born Isabella Johnston 1881/1882 but that's a bit far from Whitehaven

No I have not found Isabella in the 1881.
Isabella is recorded in the 1901 (married to John Slack, Arkengarthdale) as aged 22 b Whitehaven.
There is an Isabella recorded in the 1891 index aged 10 b St Bees, Whiehaven.

That is great work T, but sadly I'm still a bit stuck. I've just noticed that there is a definite birth of an Isabella Johnston in 1878 which ties in with her age of 22 in the 1901. The birth of the 10 year old Isabella shown in your reply is also recorded so there are two candidates , the Isabella b 1878 being favourite.

The 1911 census entry (which you should try and have a look at) indicates that Isabella Slack was born somewhere other than Whitehaven. The 1881 census link below seems to show the most likely family but it needs to be checked and corroborated.

You really need to see the 1899 marriage certificate which should provide the name and occupation of her father and possibly other useful information for witnesses, addresses etc.

The 1891 census is not really of much help regarding this particular Isabella because she is not with her parents as she is staying with her grandmother.
