taking yet another leap of faith
carshalton is the sub district for cheam
there is this baptism
john watts son of william/eleanor watts baptised on the 19th march 1815 at carshalton, surrey
ext.rec. I.G.I.
i know the age does not tie up with the 1841 census and 1851 census
but i believe the ages were rounded down by 5 years in 1841(or was it up)
cattell,alcester
vickers,sulgrave
hewish,holborn
manley,bethnal green
barnes,bassingbourn

Regards.

I'm a writer currently working on the story of an Italian lady I lived with back in 2001 when I was studying English in London. Her name was Ornella Watts (Her maiden name was Alberta Ornella Neviani), widowed of Stanley Watts, a WW2 soldier who had his own antique shop. Unfortunately, we didn't discuss Stanley that much at the time, and I'm trying to track him down, his family, her family, trying to find more about this fascinating couple.

I remember she telling me how  Mr. Watts was arrested on an Egypt battle during WW2 and then transferred to an Italian prision.  Can he be the same Stanle Watts you mention on your posts? If you found more information and have any light that can guide my search, it would be most appreciated...
