Susanna HICKS - Census & baptism

I am trying to place Susanna HICKS into my SAMWELL family tree.

In the 1851 Census, she was with John Granville SAMWELL’s family;
Susanna HICKS, Cousin, Unmarried, aged 45, Housekeeper, born: St Lukes City Road, Middlesex

In the 1841 Census, she was with John Granville SAMWELL’s family.

As yet, I do not have the 1861 Census details of either John G SAMWELL (born abt 1808) or Susanna HICKS (born abt 1806), can someone please?

Can anyone find the baptism details of this Susanna HICKS, so that I can identify her parents, please?

She could just have been his housekeeper?

Hi Jennifer & thankyou for the information.

Your 1871 Census is the bonus (I think). At least it ties in with your birth/baptism details (which I had previously dismissed).

It is looking good, as I had 2 girls that I can not find their marriage or burial details.

One is Sarah SAMWELL, Born 12 Feb 1780, Baptised 6 Mar 1780 Batter Street-Presbyterian, Plymouth, Devon, England, daughter of John SAMWELL & Sarah.

She could be the mother of Susanna. If only I could find the marriage entry for the George HICKS & Sarah.

I haven’t yet explored the possibility that Sarah HICKS (nee SAMWELL, born 1780) & George HICKS might appear in the Census Returns. Also, I haven’t looked for any other children of George HICKS & Sarah, as yet.
